'Lo all!
Ive been thinking about this for a while, creating a Wildside Street Team. What with my job taking up all my time in the week and leaving a few hours on a Saturday to do any kind of promotion in town, and the fact that simply not enough people know of the night STILL (even after 2 years!!! I bump into a load of glammies after Hanoi in Nottingham and they didn't even know about it!) ........ I think we need to expand our promoting operation! Advertising in magazines simply costs to much money also!!
Quite a few of you have asked me for flyers and posters to put up in the past, and we have enough hardcore following who want to see these nights at the top of their game I think its time to do something about it!
So what are your thoughts and who would be interested in being a part of this? It would involve me posting you flyers and posters each month and Im looking for people not just in Nottingham but others around the large cities around the midlands eg Birmingham, Sheffield, Bradford, etc to get some around there. I would ask you to get as much up as you can in your area and to make sure that posters stay there or are replaced if torn down or ripped. Also to advertise around the internet on various bulletin boards and websites you frequent or find, and generally bully people whether you know them or not to come down! To flyer at glam gigs in your area before and/or after the show when you can grab the largest amount of people.
In return Id guarantee entry for £1 to every DJ night, some free tshirts when they get done and reduced entry to all the Wildside gigs. If I can offer anything else like spare promo CDs that come my way etc I'll throw them in too!
