I had a really good time last night guys, and thanks for all your support for the night.. especially Lewis + Em, The VKA crew, Jue, Crube and others I may have forgot! Thanks for spreading the word/dragging people down/flyering etc!
We very nearly smashed the Wildside attendance record and we took the 'target' amount at the bar they were asking for! If next months does as well, if not better than its future is guaranteed!
Setlist is online now, and feedback from the night would be greatly appreciated!
yours rockingly,
DJ evAl!
ps... saw School Of Rock tonight ... its ace! Go watch it!

I wanted to add my thanks to everyone who was at Wildside. It was my 1st one and it ROCKED!!! I had an absolute blast, and will be there in March, (I may even drag my wife along as well...) As for feedback, the music was cool, and I actaully like the 'intimate' size of the place. One slight downside, which does relate to the takings at the bar, is that they may take a little more if the bar staff actually sped up a bit. I fancied a drink on a couple of occasions, but was put off by the length of time ot took to get a coke the last time (I was driving) Other than that, thanks again to everyone, tahnks to AL for the couple of requests (esp the Gamma Ray - cheers dude) See y'all next month

Whats your real name anyway? I had to announce "This ones for Crube!" over the mic! They should have two permanent bar staff next time so that should be sorted, and thats cool youre bringing your wife down...is she into this kind of stuff? My god that will be interesting to see! I may even squeeze into my silver PVC troosers next time! May actually come down to The Wake for a bit next time as I quite like the 80s goff or 'death rock' stuff! haha Im going to get some new flyers done by the end of the week hopefully, let me know if you find out about those good quality double sided ones we were talking about!

My real name? Isnt that a bit like finding out who Batman really is!!! No seriuosly, I'm Alan Richmond, (aka Big Al) from Kirkby in Ashfield. As for my wife, she kinda likes some of the stuff, in small doses, so I reckon 5 hours or so of loud sleazy rawk would be a good thing right... She does actually like Bruce Dickinson (well until his train spotter revelations on channel 5 the other nite!), and some Maiden, Gamma Ray, Aerosmith etc, but I dont think her Beautiful South or Enya would really fit in... Thanks again for a great nite, good to hear about the bar staff, and I will see you in March... Crube

I dont know what the program was but (fades to hazey flashback thingy...) Was thoroughly bored, so flicking through tv channels waiting for my wife to come home off lates. Suddenly Channel , clip of a certain band you might of heard of, at Rock in Rio, with the obligitory Bruce going a bit mental. Hmm, thinks Alan, I'll watch this. Then cut to peaceful country scene, with a bicycle helmeted Mr Dickinson talking to a reporter about the relative merits of the new tilting trains that are being brought in on Britains railways, verses the one whose plans were shelved, and the latest Italian models. He even claimed his favorite train was the old intercity 125 - It was hideous Im currently undergoing counselling myself for the trauma and thinking about auctioning off my Maiden collection in disgust... (sob)
